New Delhi [India], February 14: OPPO, VIVO, realme, iQOO and OnePlus are some of the most widely recognized and trusted consumer electronics brands operating in India at the moment. The one thing that is common to all these brands is the fact that they operate under the umbrella brand of BBK Electronics. The company, whose foundation was laid in the year 1995, has become a global brand synonymous with quality products in the consumer electronics segment.

BBK Electronics, through its multiple brands, has registered in presence in most countries across the world. The one factor that has helped the company make a mark in different countries is that it makes a conscious effort to understand the needs of the consumers based in a particular region and works towards filling certain gaps that exist in the marketplace.

A while back, BBK Electronics launched a new brand called imoo that was designed to cater to the needs of children who used smart devices. The brand came up with a bunch of kids watch phones that had the kind of features that would appeal to children and be useful for them. These products became instantly popular in all the markets they were launched in.

In India, however, there was no brand that was making electronic products keeping the needs and preferences of children in mind. BBK Electronics, which had tasted humungous success with its other brands in the country, decided to launch imoo in India. The brand was given a grand launch on 13 January 2023. In just a few weeks, kids watch phones offered by imoo have registered very high sales in India and this serves as yet another testimony of BBK Electronics’ understanding of consumer behavior and needs.

The kids watch phones manufactured by imoo is sim card enabled and boast of a wide range of features including Call and Video Call that make them a high-utility product. Sometimes, parents are skeptical about giving a gadget or tech product to their children as they fear they will not be able to handle it properly or damage it. The kids watch phones by imoo are made with soft but highly durable rubber and come with a swimming-grade water resistance feature. Even when a very young child uses one of these devices, there is no chance of it suffering from any kind of damage.

One of the most unique aspects of the imoo kids watch phones is their drainage function. This is one feature one mostly associates with iPhones. It has several other high-end features that one would hope to come across in a premium smart device designed for adults. While these watch phones have several advanced functionalities, imoo has ensured that all the features found on these devices are kid friendly. Apart from engaging children, these watch phones are also designed to contribute to their overall growth.

There are several reasons why parents would want to gift an imoo watch phone to their children. While most parents encourage children to participate in outdoor activities, they are also concerned about their safety and well-being. Equipped with features like GPS tracking and AI locating, these devices enable parents to know about the location of their children at any given point in time.

What makes these devices extremely appealing to both parents and children is that they work both as a smartwatch and a phone. These watch phones offer video calling services and help parents and children constantly stay in touch with each other. imoo also holds the distinction of being the first-ever company to introduce the arrival of 4G-enabled products in this space. Imoo kids watch phones feature an AMOLED screen, a flexible flip structure and a high IPX8 water-resistance rating.

Keeping the spending strength or budgetary preferences of Indian consumers in mind, imoo has launched two flagship products at a very affordable price point. One of the two kids watch phones model the brand has launched in India is the Z1 watch phone which is offered at a price of Rs 9,990. The other model is the Z6 watch phone which is priced at Rs. 20,990. Z6. These two products that the brand has launched in India have struck a chord with consumers and now, one keenly looks forward to its offerings in the near future.

“The Parenting Flow” a recently released book helps parents navigate the challenges of raising children in today’s fast-paced world. This book has been written by Sanket Dharod, himself a parent of two inspiring teenage sons.

He shares the intent behind writing the book :

“This book is my humble attempt to share my ‘awareness insights’ on my short (or long!) journey through my ‘parenting flow’ so far!

In the midst of all the chaos – feeling lost, confused, dazed, overwhelmed, frustrated; have arisen many a ‘aha’ moments of insightful contemplation.

It is my hope that some, if not all, of these insights might help to act as ‘lamp-posts’, on your individual journey, to find your flow as parents or would-be parents!”

As the pace of life continues to accelerate, most parents struggle to keep up with the ever-increasing demands of new-age parenting. Whether it’s juggling work, school, financial commitments, or extracurricular activities, the pressure to meet everyone’s needs can be overwhelming.

“The Parenting Flow” is designed to help parents find a sense of balance and flow in their parenting journey, making the process less stressful and more enjoyable. The book provides practical, actionable guidelines to navigate through the perplexing maze of parenting.

The book is divided into 6 distinct sections which cover critical aspects of holistic parenting.

  • The underlying philosophy : The psychological mindset
  • The environmental setup : People and love
  • Your one and only incredible child : Celebrate the uniqueness
  • Holistic upbringing : 360 degrees development
  • Holy grail of education : Learning and un-learning
  • Hidden gems of wisdom : Borrowed insights over the years

The book provides practical advice, along with inspiring examples, to help parents find the support and guidance they need to be effective, confident parents.

The lessons are designed to be applicable to all parents, regardless of their child’s age range. The author recognizes that the challenges of parenting can change as children grow and develop, but the core principles of effective parenting remain the same.

Whether you have toddlers, young kids or teenagers, the book’s practical advice and actionable strategies will help you raise happy children. The author’s inclusive approach makes the book a valuable resource for all parents, regardless of their individual circumstances.

“The Parenting Flow” is a comprehensive guide that combines the latest insights on parenting in changing times with the timeless core values that every parent needs to be successful.

The author recognizes that the world is constantly evolving, and parents must be able to adapt to these changes in order to effectively raise their children.

At the same time, the book emphasizes the importance of core values such as love, communication, and consistency, which have remained relevant and essential to effective parenting throughout the ages.

“Parenting is one of the most rewarding experiences a person can have, but it can also be one of the most challenging. This is not a one-size-fits-all, how-to manual for parenting. The book is not prescriptive, but rather a sharing of insights and a proposed paradigm for parenting that emphasizes mutual respect between parent and child.” says, Sanket Dharod

VEDCOMSPOC provides enterprise Space Situation Awareness solutions that are accurate, timely, and scalable.

New Delhi, India – 07 February 2023, SamKalpa Systems, an India-based company, announces a joint venture with COMSPOC, a US-based enterprise software platform for Space Situational Awareness. The new partnership, named Vedcomspoc, aims to provide accurate, timely, and scalable solutions for identifying potential threats in space, tracking & simulating space events, and performing assessments for proactive Space Traffic Management & Awareness.

VEDCOMSPOC  is the only solution that can accept ANY form of observations and provide solutions in ALL orbital regimes — from VLEO to Cislunar and interplanetary. In the current geopolitical climate, governments are becoming more aware of the importance of protecting their space assets and safeguarding them against potential threats. With rival nations rapidly developing and launching new space capabilities, the security of satellites has become an increasingly critical aspect of national defence strategies. As space becomes a central aspect of communication, collaboration, and research for nations, it is imperative that governments and organizations ensure the safety of their space assets.

In a statement, CEO Ravnish Luthra of SamKalpa expressed the company’s commitment to the “Make in India” initiative by creating an India-specific layer on top of a military-grade space situational awareness (SSA) platform, which is powered by a physics engine consisting of 13 million lines of rocket science code. Mr. Luthra said that SamKalpa formed a joint venture with COMSPOC to establish Vedcomspoc, a local entity that will further develop the engine and provide SSA solutions not only in India, but also for other friendly countries. The aim of Vedcomspoc is to advance India’s progress and make it a leader in the field of space situational awareness. Mr. Luthra emphasized the importance of space systems as a critical component of modern defence systems and stated that being prepared to defend space assets makes India stronger. Vedcomspoc seeks to strengthen India’s space domain awareness by providing an enterprise software platform that delivers high accuracy, low latency, and high-capacity SSA across all orbital regimes.

Paul Graziani, CEO of COMSPOC, further noted that India is now in a remarkable position to take its space capabilities to an international level. He expressed his desire to collaborate closely with both the US and Indian governments to exchange information in the areas of space domain awareness and space traffic management. Graziani emphasized the significance of international collaboration in space situational awareness as the number of objects in space continues to escalate. With a large number of satellites, debris, and other objects orbiting the Earth, he stressed the importance of countries working together to guarantee the security of their space-based assets.

Today’s space operational environment is congested, contested, and competitive. Over 7000 satellites are operating in Earth orbit, among a total population of just over 24000 cataloged objects; the rest of the objects are “dead” satellites and a significant amount of space debris.  Debris is created from launch and on-orbit operations, when satellites are decommissioned (and improperly disposed), and when satellites fragment or break up in space. There are governments that recognize the importance of protecting their space assets from potential threats, as well as mitigating or countering the capabilities of adversary assets, as part of their national defence strategy.  Some countries, including rivals, are quickly developing, building and launching greater capacities. As space becomes progressively central to the way that nations communicate, collaborate, and conduct research, it is becoming increasingly vital for governments and organizations to secure their satellites from threats.

Peripheral Neuropathy

Peripheral neuropathy refers to any condition that affects the nerves outside your brain or spinal cord. This can happen for several reasons, from trauma to infections to inherited conditions.

Causes of Peripheral Neuropathy

Injury

Physical trauma is a common cause of injury to the nerves. This can include car accidents, falls, or fractures. Inactivity, or holding still too long in one position, can also cause neuropathy.

Increased pressure on the median nerve, a nerve in the wrist that supplies feeling and movement to the hand, causes carpal tunnel syndrome. This is a common typeTrusted Source of peripheral neuropathy.

Alcohol can have a toxic effect on nerve tissue, putting people with severe alcohol use disorder at a higher risk of peripheral neuropathy.

Exposure to toxic chemicals like glue, solvents, or insecticides, either through chemical abuse or in the workplace, can also cause nerve damage. Additionally, exposure to heavy metals such as lead and mercury can also cause this condition.

Infections and autoimmune disorders

Certain viruses and bacteria directly attack nerve tissue.

Viruses such as herpes simplex, varicella-zoster virus (which causes chickenpox and shingles), and Epstein-Barr virus damage sensory nerves and cause intense episodes of shooting pain.

Bacterial infections such as Lyme disease can also cause nerve damage and pain if they aren’t treated. People with HIV or AIDS can also develop peripheral neuropathy.

Autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis and lupus affect the peripheral nervous system in various ways. Chronic inflammation and damage to tissues throughout the body, as well as pressure caused by inflammation, can all lead to severe nerve pain in the extremities.

Some forms of neuropathy involve damage to only one nerve (mononeuropathy). Neuropathy affecting two or more nerves in different areas is called multiple mononeuropathy or mononeuropathy multiplex. More often, many or most of the nerves are affected (polyneuropathy).

Certain medications may also cause nerve damage. These include:

  • Anticonvulsants, which people take to treat seizures
  • Drugs to fight bacterial infections
  • Some blood pressure medications
  • Medications used to treat cancer
  • Peripheral Neuropathy Symptoms

The symptoms of peripheral neuropathy vary based on the type that you have and what part of the body is affected.

  • Muscle weakness
  • Cramps
  • Muscle twitching
  • Loss of muscle and bone
  • Changes in skin, hair, or nails
  • Numbness
  • Loss of sensation or feeling in body parts

Loss of balance or other functions as a side effect of the loss of feeling in the legs, arms, or other body parts.

The most common types of tests for peripheral neuropathy (either to confirm the diagnosis or rule out other conditions) include:

Blood tests (these can detect many problems, ranging from immune system problems to toxins and poisons, especially metals like mercury or lead).

Genetic testing.

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).

Peripheral Neuropathy Treatment

Usually, peripheral neuropathy can’t be cured, but you can do a lot of things to prevent it from getting worse. If an underlying condition like diabetes is at fault, your healthcare provider will treat that first and then treat the pain and other symptoms of neuropathy.

In some cases, over-the-counter pain relievers can help. Other times, prescription medicines are needed. Another class of medications that quiets nerve cell electrical signaling is also used for epilepsy. Common drugs include gabapentin, pregabalin, and less often topiramate and lamotrigine. Carbamazepine and oxcarbazepine are particularly effective for trigeminal neuralgia, a focal neuropathy of the face, and some classes of antidepressants, including tricyclics such as amitriptyline.

Lidocaine injections and patches may help with pain in other instances. And in extreme cases, surgery can be used to destroy nerves or repair injuries that are causing neuropathic pain and symptoms.

Diabetes and some other diseases are common preventable causes of neuropathy. People with neuropathy should ask their doctors to minimize the use of medications that are known to cause or worsen neuropathy where alternatives exist. Some families with very severe genetic neuropathies use in vitro fertilization (IVF) to prevent transmission to future generations.
