Ltd., a healthtech startup enhancing blood transfusion safety through IT and IoT products and providing regionwide blood transfusion lifecycle management platform, proudly announces the successful closure of both its primary and secondary fundraise.

Strides was founded by Denesh Mutha in 2015, in Chh. Sambhajinagar, with and objective of enabling Safe, High quality and high availability of Blood components. Gaining investor interest and backing in this segment with high social impact has been no small feat. Yet, our unwavering commitment to enhancing blood transfusion safety and quality has inspired the trust and support of leading investors.

We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our initial investors, SIDBI Venture Capital Limited and the Maharashtra State Social Venture Fund, who stood by us in the early stages of our journey. Their belief in our mission enabled us to scale, innovate, and strengthen our flagship product, Safetrans, which is now trusted by over 400 hospitals and blood processing centers, till time screened 90 lakh+ blood donors, identified 2.5 lakh + ineligible blood donors and prevented them from donating blood, enabled 1.6 cr + blood transfusions in patients and prevented 8 lakh + life threatening errors.

Safetrans, the flagship blood traceability software of Strides is CDSCO licensed class B Medical devices and was one of the first software as medical devices license in the blood transfusion lifecycle space.

Strides has been the winner of Nasscom SME Inspire awards 2023 for “Growth Leadership in Products and Platform” – Micro enterprise.

Bhosari, Pune, Maharashtra – CIE India Institute of Skills, a CSR initiative by CIE Automotive India Ltd., is proud to announce its groundbreaking initiative to skill, empower and provide Employment to the LGBT community and females, fostering livelihood opportunities. 

This initiative, operating under Project Lakshay, is aimed at providing Light motor vehicle driving skills to the LGBT and female communities, offering them Employment and self Employment Career opportunities as Light Motor Vehicle commercial drivers at reputed companies. The CSR initiative of CIE Automotive India Ltd is implemented by Seeds Impact with the support of Learnet Skills Limited under Project Lakshya.

A seminar was organised by CIIS to understand the challenges of LGBT community. The representatives from Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation, NGOs, Transgender Activists, Transgender individuals shared their thoughts.

Under Project Lakshya, the CIE India Institute of Skills focuses on providing free residential mode of training and placement to underprivileged and unemployed youth. At CIE India Institute of Skills, four trades are offered, including Tool and Die Maker, CNC Operator Turning, Pneumatic and Hydraulic Fitter, and Industrial Welding. Candidates undergo specialized training and are subsequently placed in respective industries.

Over the span of three years, from 2020 to 2023, the project has demonstrated impressive quantitative and qualitative improvements. Under the Project Lakshya,  more than 800 candidates were enrolled and 650 Candidates successfully placed in reputed companies. The center stands out for its impressive infrastructure and comprehensive facilities. The well-equipped classrooms provide an ideal learning environment, complemented by industrial-designed practical labs that enhance hands-on experience.

Awards and Honors: 

‘LAKSHYA’ – a beacon of inspiration. This CSR film, depicting the real story of a female candidate from CIE India Institute of Skills, earned India’s largest CSR film honor, the Socio CSR Film Award in March 2023 held in Pune. 

The CSR Box Bharat Dalmia Award was held in Delhi on October 13, 2023. CIE India Institute of Skills received an Award for “LAKSHYA,” a CSR project by CIE Automotive India Ltd. 

CIE India Institute of Skills was honored with the prestigious India CSR Award in a ESG India Summit ceremony held in Raipur on 12th August for the outstanding project, Lakshya.

Vinayak Khadaskar, CSR and HR Head at CIE Automotive India Ltd. emphasized the importance of bringing marginalized communities into the mainstream. “It is our responsibility to support LGBT and females by empowering them and making them stand on their feet. We have successfully started the special batch with 25 participants, including 5 from the LGBT community and 20 females.”

The special batch, spanning 45 days, includes additional soft skills training such as basic English, computer skills, and personality development. Free hostel and canteen facility and traveling allowance for needy are provided by CIE India Institute of Skills. These learners will be taken to  a ADTSSI, Ajmer in Rajasthan for further hands on practice and intense driving skill training by air.
