With a steadfast commitment to serving the underprivileged in third-tier towns and villages, ARMF has emerged as a beacon of hope, striving for health equity and holistic upliftment.

Empowering Communities Through Healthcare:

At the heart of ARMF’s mission lies a deep-seated dedication to ensuring accessible and quality healthcare for all. Dr. Kingshuk Ray, backed by his medical expertise, spearheads the foundation’s healthcare initiatives, which encompass preventive, curative, and rehabilitative services. From organizing health camps and medical screenings to providing essential medications and treatments, ARMF is actively involved in addressing the healthcare needs of marginalized communities.

“Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right, yet millions around the world are deprived of this basic necessity. At ARMF, we are driven by the belief that no one should suffer due to lack of medical attention. Through our concerted efforts, we aim to bridge the healthcare gap and empower individuals to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives,” remarked Dr. Kingshuk Ray, Co-Director of ARMF.

Social Welfare and Community Engagement:

In addition to healthcare, ARMF places significant emphasis on social welfare initiatives aimed at uplifting the socio-economic status of underprivileged communities. Mrs. Riya Chakraborty Ray, leveraging her background in mechanical engineering and management acumen, leads the foundation’s endeavors in this domain. From skill development programs and vocational training to educational initiatives and women’s empowerment projects, ARMF is committed to fostering sustainable change at the grassroots level.

“We firmly believe that sustainable development can only be achieved through holistic interventions that address the multifaceted needs of communities. By empowering individuals with the necessary skills and resources, we strive to create a ripple effect of positive change that permeates every aspect of society,” emphasized Mrs. Riya Chakraborty Ray, Co-Director of ARMF.

Green Initiative and Community Kitchen:

Recognizing the critical importance of environmental conservation, ARMF has embarked on a comprehensive green initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and eco-consciousness. Through tree plantation drives, waste management programs, and advocacy for renewable energy solutions, the foundation endeavors to create a greener, cleaner future for generations to come.

Moreover, ARMF operates a community kitchen that not only addresses food insecurity but also promotes nutrition and food sustainability. By leveraging locally sourced ingredients and employing eco-friendly practices, the kitchen serves as a hub for fostering community solidarity and well-being.

Towards Health Equity:

ARMF’s overarching goal is to achieve health equity, ensuring that every individual, regardless of socio-economic status or geographical location, has access to the healthcare and support services they need to thrive. By advocating for policy reforms, collaborating with governmental and non-governmental partners, and mobilizing resources effectively, ARMF remains steadfast in its commitment to promoting health equity as a cornerstone of social justice.

Based in Islampur, ARMF works tirelessly to uplift the underprivileged in third-tier towns and villages, striving for health equity and holistic development. Project Sahayata was launched in March 2023 by high schoolers Samaira Mohunta, Kavin Sharma, Shiv Chauhan, Nitya Rathi, Miheeka Bagla, and Vaasavi Daga with the aim of uplifting the infrastructure and amenities available in under-resourced schools in Gurugram under NGO Parvaah.

The inaugural phase of Project Sahayata witnessed the installation of 10 water purifiers and 10 cold water dispensers, not only in the adopted S. P. Public School but also across neighbouring schools. At the launch event, graced by the presence of Justice Alok Jain, Hon’ble Judge of Punjab & Haryana High Court, as the Chief Guest, and esteemed personalities like Sh. Virendra Vij (IPS), DCP East Gurgaon, and Ms. Benu Malhotra, Founder and Trustee of Parvaah, the initiative’s profound impact was unveiled.

“We will improve the hygiene and basic sanitation in the identified schools and Project Sahayata will bring in the much-needed upliftment. We will also work closely with the teachers to promote sports, art and crafts and create an environment to make school more enjoyable and fun for these students,” Samaira Mohunta, President, Parvaah said.

In July, Project Sahayata’s second campaign took flight, aligning with the sanitation objectives of UN SDG Goal 6: Clean Water and Sanitation. By utilizing funds generated from the sale of cards and envelopes crafted by the children during their summer break, the initiative successfully established a hygienic toilet and hand-washing station at S.P. Public School, Gurugram.

This 76th Independence Day, Project Sahayata adopted the community ground for the students of S. P Public School and a few other students of schools in the vicinity. After levelling the ground, they orchestrated a vibrant tree plantation initiative, breathing life into the landscape with 60 new trees. Each sapling signifies their commitment to cultivating a greener future for these children, who will soon have a playground that they can truly call their own.

“Having access to an accessible and safe playground to move, exercise, and play is a vital component to ensuring healthy lives for younger children. That is what our next campaign is going to be about,” said Samaira Mohunta, President of Parvaah.

Project Sahayata, launched by determined high schoolers in March 2023, has ignited a transformative journey in Gurugram’s under-resourced S. P. Public School. From enhancing basic amenities and promoting hygiene to installing vital facilities, their actions mirror a commitment to education and holistic development. Soon, these children will revel in a playground truly their own, surrounded by the living testament of their brighter tomorrow. With each upcoming initiative, Project Sahayata will paint a brighter and greener future for these children, encapsulating the power of youth-driven change.
